Pastoral Apostolate (1971-1975)
Professor: Bigard Memorial Seminary (1975-1981)
Pastoral Apostolate Again: (1982-2010)
Following the good example of Monsignor CosmasOkechukwuObigeo, the aims and objective of the foundation is, particularly, to offer material support to students and artisans who meet some stipulated criteria. Generally we aim at encouraging and supporting entrepreneurship, creativity and industry among the youth. To enhance the creation of more job opportunities for qualified and skilled workers.
VISION: We envision a better world for Nigerian Youths, where as many as possible could be empowered through this foundation to achieve their Career dreams and realise their aspirations. We hope to reduce the number of our young people risking their lives travelling through deserts and seas in their quest for a better life overseas. What these young people are looking overseas can also be created here in Nigeria with strong will, proper programmes and an enabling environment.
MISSION: Although Monsignor Cosmas Obiego is dead, he still lives among us. His good works shall still remain with us. This project for our youth is a way of keeping his memory alive in us and at the same time contributing to human capital development.
VALUES: We respect the values and beliefs of the people with and for whom we work and act in consideration of their backgrounds. Monsignor Obiego was known for hard work, innovativeness, discipline and integrity both as a professor in Bigard Memorial Seminary and as a pastor in all the parishes where he worked. We adhere strongly to those same values. Thus we keep our words and honour our commitments. We are result-oriented. We hope to as much as possible achieve maximum result through this foundation.
